Group By in Signals

You can now segment and analyze your Signals charts using a "Group By" option.

Group By lets you break a chart into stacked bars or multiple lines based on a dimension of your choosing, so you can go from a high-level trend to a segmented view without leaving the dashboard.

What's available to group by:

  • Core AI Models — Eddy Effect Signal, Themes & Topics, Sentiment, and more

  • Standard Filters — Agents, Call Direction, Classifiers, Conversation Labeling, Hierarchy, Language, Media Type, and others

  • Your organization's metadata — any extended metadata field your admin has marked as groupable (e.g., campaign, product line, customer segment)

Supported charts:

Group by is available on single line, vertical bar, and horizontal bar charts across 9 reports: Contact Types, Conversations Over Time, Eddy Effect by Classifier, Eddy Effect by Question Response, Eddy Effect Over Time, Model Results Count, Patient Journey Stages, Primary Themes, and Question Response Count.

  • Bar charts → become stacked bars

  • Line charts → become multi-line

How it works:

Open the report configuration menu on any supported chart and select a field from the "Group By" dropdown. Up to 50 values can be selected at once. Note that when Group By is active, the "Compare to Previous" option is not available.

Two New Total Conversations Reports

We've added two new reports to Signals: a Total Conversations bar chart and a Total Conversations donut, available in the "Add Cards" modal on custom dashboards.

Both reports are especially powerful when combined with Group By and chart filters, giving you a flexible, configurable view of your conversation volume. Each includes a % / # toggle to view volume your way.
